Tim Martin
Of Counsel

Tim has been practicing land use, environmental and real estate law in Southern California for more than twenty years. The first seven years of Tim's legal practice were at the law firm of Jeffer, Mangels, Butler and Mitchell in its Government, Land Use, Environment and Energy Department, where he focused on representing a variety of corporate clients in complex litigation, transactional and regulatory matters.  Subsequently, Tim co-founded a boutique land use and environmental law firm (CA Land Use Professionals) and worked over the course of the next five years on all aspects of land use entitlements, including a focus on project compliance with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA).  Additionally, Tim handled environmental litigation and compliance matters for a range of business clients.  Since 2015, Tim has practiced land use, environmental and real estate law as both a solo practitioner, and, since 2019, as Of-Counsel for the Gonzales Law Group.

Tim's practice over the last two decades has been diverse and has included representing both plaintiffs and defendants in civil litigation in California.  Additionally, Tim's practice specializes in Writ of Mandate actions (both CEQA and non-CEQA actions), representing both Petitioners who seek to challenge local decision making and Real-Parties-In-Interest who seek to defend their projects against legal challenges.  Tim has deep experience in all aspects of the land use entitlement process, and also has extensive experience in a variety of real property issues, including easement and boundary law disputes and transactional real estate projects.

Tim enjoys all types of music, including singing songs commemorating special occasions.  Tim's interests also include a variety of outdoor activities, as well as competitive table tennis.  Tim loves spending time with his family and friends, particularly his vivacious ten-year old daughter Maribelle.
